Champ CarMinden, NV (January 9, 2007) - Sierra Sierra Enterprises has signed James Hinchcliffe to it's two-car 2007 Champ Car Atlantic Championship lineup. Bringing with him a strong racing background as well as a surplus of enthusiasm and excitement, Hinchcliffe will pair up with Brazilian driver Raphael Matos to round out the two-car effort.

"I'm really excited about signing with Sierra Sierra for next year's Atlantic series. After getting in touch with this team, it was clear how badly we wanted to work with one another, and we did everything we had to do to get the deal done. I can't wait for Vegas and I seriously expect to see some great results throughout the year," commented Hinchcliffe.

The expansion of Sierra Sierra to a two-car team was announced shortly after the successful 2006 season. Finding a driver with the right skill set Champ Car Atlanticsand personality was critical to ensuring a successful season.

"The '07 season is shaping up to be even more competitive than last year. This decision puts us in the best possible strategic position," commented Richard Raeder, Sierra Sierra's Team Manager.

"Hinch," a native of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, comes to the team with a record of success and growth as he climbed the open-wheel racing ladder: 2006 Champ Car Atlantic Championship: 10th place overall finish with Forsythe Racing, win at Portland and three podiums, 2005 Star Mazda Series: 3rd place overall finish, 2004 Formula BMW USA: 2nd place overall finish, Top Series Rookie.

Champ CarThe Sierra Sierra team and Hinchcliffe are excited to launch into 2007. The Champ Car Atlantic 2007 season opener takes place in Las Vegas, Nevada.
