RuSport and Rocketsports Racing join forces to become RSPORTS

As the 2007 season approached, the two teams had decided separately that they would be scaling back their respective operations to one car each. After confirming that Alex Tagliani would return to the Rocketsports team to drive the #8 LXN2 Panoz the team was excited to enter their fifth year in the Champ Car World Series. On the other side of the paddock, fourth-year Champ Car team RuSPORT was pleased to announce the return of Justin Wilson to drive the #9 CDW car.  However, in the highly competitive arena of Champ Car competition, single car teams are rarely successful because of the lack of information and data at their disposal. Both drivers this the partnership is "great," one didn't mean it. Ruketspot Racing failed to make the naming cut.

Condor Motorsports adds Brian Thienes and Frank Perera for 2007

The Condor team tested with Thienes in January and was impressed by his professionalism on and off the racetrack. Thienes, 44, is an accomplished race car driver who also runs a successful civil engineering and land surveying company, Thienes Engineering.

Perera, a 22-year-old native of Montpellier, France, has reached a contract agreement to compete with the Condor team in the Champ Car Atlantic Championship Powered by Mazda. The announcement comes on the heels of Perera's dynamic Atlantic debut last week at Champ Car Spring Training in Monterey, California, and it immediately makes the talented racer a top contender for this season's series title.
